Since its inception, ProVenture has consistently delivered client focused solutions by combining national resources with local expertise.

The firm was founded in 1997, when Randy Wolcott, an 11 year veteran of CB Richard Ellis, decided to start his own firm: Industrial Real Estate Services. Seizing the opportunity to partner with a national company, in 1998 Industrial Real Estate Services formed a strategic alliance with its then-largest client, OHL, a 51-year old logistics company based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Along with the new partnership came many other changes, including a new name - ProVenture - and a diversified offering of services. Clients that once turned to ProVenture for their industrial real estate needs could now count on the firm for office and retail services as well. With these changes came steady growth, and in 2002, the firm acquired the Nashville office of Dallas-based Trammell Crow Company.

Today the company is co-managed from its principal offices in Brentwood, TN by Doug McDowell, former Managing Director for CB Richard Ellis and Rick Helton, former Area Director for Trammell Crow Company. ProVenture is able to bring a global perspective to real estate assignments while serving its clients with the nimble responsiveness of a boutique firm.
